An Humble ISD Education

Because education is one of a homebuyer’s highest priorities, it’s also one of the most important considerations Newland Communities has in deciding where to create a new master-planned community. Eagle Springs is proud to be part of the highly acclaimed Humble Independent School District. Nearby, the dynamic Kingwood College offers lifelong learning in a growing number of disciplines.

Humble ISD has over 30,000 students and 33 campuses, and both of these numbers are constantly growing. Eagle Springs students attend some of the most highly regarded campuses in Humble ISD, all located within three miles of the community. These schools include Eagle Springs Elementary, Timberwood Middle School and Atascocita High School.

Eagle Springs Elementary and Atascocita High School are two new additions to Humble ISD, both recently opened for the fall 2006 school year. Eagle Springs Elementary school is located at Eagle Springs Parkway and Will Clayton Parkway, right in the middle of the community.  Atascocita High School is located just east of the Eagle Springs boundary, at the intersection of Will Clayton Parkway and W. Lake Houston Pkwy.

Kingwood College

Now offering three locations in the Humble area, Kingwood College is a two-year comprehensive community college serving as an educational and cultural center to an economically and culturally diverse population. Opened in 1984, Kingwood College is one of the five colleges that comprise the North Harris Montgomery Community College District.

The 224-acre main campus is located in an attractive, wooded setting at 20000 Kingwood Dr., just west of U.S. 59 North. The college offers more than 40 programs, ranging from accounting and kinesiology/health, to interior design and computer information technology. Programs lead to Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Applied Science degrees. Certificate programs prepare graduates for transfer to a four-year college or for successful employment in business and industry.

Kingwood College also offers classes for both credit and Continuing Education at Humble ISD's new state-of-the-art high tech facility, the Career and Technology Education Center (CATE). To accommodate the work schedule of busy adults, classes are offered weekday evenings and weekends, many in either a fast-track format or once-per-week meetings. High school students can also earn college credit at the center.

A similar program is offered at Kingwood College’s third campus, the East Montgomery County Improvement District Center, located at U.S. Highway 59 and Community Dr.
